Nominations for the Inclusive Tech Alliance Awards 2020 are now open!

“The Tech sector by its very nature is disruptive, focused on pushing boundaries, and having a vision for the future that goes beyond the status quo”.

These qualities are the reasons why we at the Inclusive Tech Alliance want to celebrate the achievements of individuals from different diversity strands and the organisations who promote equity, diversity and inclusion.

The nominations are free to enter – all you have to do is complete the nominations form online. If you believe you or your organisation are deserving of an award, we encourage self-nominations. Get started on the nominations using the below form. We look forward to hearing from you.

Individual Award Categories

Each Individual category will have nominations from the following diversity strands:
Black, Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) – Disability – Gender – LGBTQ+

Open to any influential business owner or the majority shareholder in a technology business running for a minimum of 18months or above by 29th November 2019. The individual needs to demonstrate commercial success, plans for growth and how they encourage innovation in their business.

A senior leader in a technology company who has demonstrated outstanding business leadership. We are looking for inspiring stories that include overcoming obstacles, inspiring others, and being a person of influence in the wider sector.

A programmer, engineer, or coder that is at the heart of creating computer software. They will have excellent technical skills in one or more programme areas and will have been part of teams delivering exceptional outcomes that create impact.

An online, print or broadcast journalist producing exceptional Tech related content. They will have covered a wide range of stories and have helped to shine a light on important Tech news. Their work should have extensive reach and an established audience.

A Chief Technology Officer who has demonstrated particular innovation, I.T excellence and leadership in their organisation. We will look at projects, achievements and examples of best practice, leadership, ROI generated and alignment to business goals.

A leader within the world of Venture Capital (V.C) that has identified and/or supported disruptive Tech businesses in the UK or UK based businesses that have gone global. They will have clear evidence of being someone with extensive influence within the VC space and has added significant value to investors and investees alike.

We are looking for individuals that have helped to build support for a specific type of technology within a new, growing, or established market. They will be inspirational figures that have contributed thought leadership on the national stage.

A Mid to Senior Manager directly responsible for the product(s) a team builds. They will have provide inspirational leadership, consistency, and continuous improvement of the work they oversee. They will be leading cross-functional teams that include ideas conception, development, and monitoring. Evidence of vision and strategic oversight will be vital.

An individual under 35 years in the Tech sector and has shown great promise that they will go on to achieve great things in the sector. Judges will look at standout achievements, contributions to successful projects, examples of innovation, and a demonstrable understanding of how technology can create business value.

This for an individuals at the forefront of scientific or technological innovations. They will have already made a unique impact on society through their inventions, improving how we live or the wider environment.

Corporate Award Categories

Recognises an Initiative with gender diversity at its core. This could be a D&I initiative implemented within an organisation.

Recognises an Initiative with ethnicity diversity at its core. This could be a D&I initiative implemented within an organisation.

Recognises an Initiative with disability diversity at its core. This could be a D&I initiative implemented within an organisation.

Recognises an Initiative with LGBTQ+ diversity at its core. This could be a D&I initiative implemented within an organisation.

Recognises an Initiative with digital agency of the year diversity at its core. This could be a D&I initiative implemented within an organisation.

This award celebrates Diversity & Inclusion teams who champion equality, diversity and inclusion every day. They have a strong ethos of ‘opportunity for all’ giving every individual a chance to achieve their potential, free from prejudice and discrimination.

Special Award

Recognises an individual who exemplifies an unyielding commitment to diversity and inclusion throughout their personal and professional life. We are looking for an individual who was wholly or partly responsible for driving change in their organisation to make it more diverse and inclusive. We are particularly looking for evidence of contributions to the wider sector and conversations about diversity and inclusion.
